As soon as we are illuminated by sodium lamps only, our shadow appears black; walking on, we see it suddenly turn into blue when we approach an ordinary electric bulb; and vice vers?, we see our black shadow cast by the electric light change suddenly into orange, when we come close to a sodium lamp.
